Nessie & Loch Ness

There are many tales about the legendary Loch Ness Monster.  You can learn more about Nessie, the history, tales and actual facts from the first class visitors centre on Loch Ness. 

There is also more to Loch Ness than the monster from the Caledonian Canal, the history of Urquhart Castle, the walks and trails through the Great Glen to some of the most beautiful Scottish scenery.  As well as lots of Jacobite history to learn about.  Below are some useful links to help plan you visit.

Urquhart Castle - The castle was ruined when its own garrison blew it up to prevent it falling into Jacobite hands during the unrest that followed the Restoration of the Monarchy.
