Gardens near Inverness

Parts of the northern parts of Scotland have their own micro climate.  The north Atlantic Drift, the part of the Gulf stream bathes the western seaboard of Scotland, offers professional gardners ideal conditions for garden and plant development.  The Gardens to visit below offer a variety of different concepts from world famous Inverewe Gardens to Inverness Floral Hall.  All different all worth a visit if you have time.

Inverness Floral Hall - sub tropical oasis of rest and calm.  Walk along the winding paths in the climatically controlled environment of the Floral Hall, pass fountains and ponds alive with sub-tropical fish. Continue into the award winning Cactus House which displays a wealth of succulents, and then into the attractive Display Gardens

Attadale Gardens, Strathcarron spectacular views of the West Coast and Skye.  Winding old paths through Woodland and Rhododendrons, bridges and waterfalls.  Restaurant & craft shop.

Auchgourish Gardens, Boat of Garten - Botanic Garden laid out mainly in Bio-Geographic areas based entirely on hardy plant species found in the Northern Hemisphere and includes a large Japanese Garden, Korean, Chinese and Himalayan sections.
