Fort George - a spectacular Fortress built to keep rebellious Highlanders in order. A fascinating glimpse into Highland military history from the 18th Century onwards.
Culloden Battlefield & Visitors Centre - Culloden Moor, scene of the last major battle fought on mainland Britain on 16th April 1746.
Landmark Forest Theme Park - Carrbridge. Fantastic attraction - shutes, slides, wild water coaster & tress - great for kids of all ages.
Cairngorm Mountain Railway - Funicular railway to 3600ft with great views of the Cairngorms and Caledonian Pine Forest.
Highland Wildlife Park - Scotlands spectular wildlife past and present. With a main reseverve you can watch bison, red deer, wolves etc. Kingussie Inverness-shire.
Strathspey Steam Railway - Runs from Aviemore to Boat of Garten.
Black Isle Wildlife Park - no website listed but you can feed friendly animals, see chicks hatch, hold a snake. Drumsmittal, North Kessock.
Highland Folk Museum - Newtownmore. Captures traditional Highland life from the 18th Century.
